By now you must have discovered and used the new referencing guide. Library referencing guide based on the author-date system (Harvard) has been updated and re-written in a new format for easy access and use by all students that are required to use this referencing method for their assignments.

The booklet "TBIT Referencing style guide based on Harvard" is a detailed guide developed with information and examples from different types of information resources such as books, videos, DVDs, journal articles, newspaper articles, and information from databases and websites. The guide gives you numerous examples of creating in-text references and takes you through all the steps of producing a List of References or a Bibliography. It also contains a sample List of References so you get to see how a complete reference list looks like.

If you do not want all the details that is in the booklet there is a A4 page "Quick Guide" that just contains examples of entries of in an "In-Text" reference and a "List of References" for quick and easy access. Copies fo the booklet and the quick guide are available from Library desk.

The "Quick Guide" is also available online from the Bremer website page. Follow these links Library & Resources > Subject links & Searching >Searching for Information > Referencing & bibliography.

Careers Market Day 2007

The Bremer TAFE held it’s annual careers market day on the 1st August with over 5000 students passing through the gates. Marketing, facilities and the IT team worked together to set up marquees, tables and connect all the electrical items up. The stalls looked fantastic and marketing insured that each store holder simply had to turn up on the day with their own information to hand out. A lot of attention was given to include as many interactive activities for the students to sample, to make their careers market day a great experience. The library secured Google earth for the day, which proved a big hit amongst the students, (most were interested to locate their own homes). Excellent feedback on the day was received from all parties, proving how well the Bremer teams work together to put on an event of such magnitude.
