Maintenance guy (let's call him Mick) sends email to all staff to advise light bulbs are being replaced around the campus today.
- Overworked library staff (let's call her Maxine) coyly replies to Mick saying "Are you going to fix the light at the end of the tunnel? It's been flickering a lot lately. ;-) "
- Mick replies a few days later: "A job has been logged and the light will be fixed today, but how did you know the light needed fixing? You shouldn't have access to the tunnel!"
- Maxine picks herself off the floor. She didn't even know we had a tunnel on campus!

3. Educational TV guide - updated daily online, covers all capital cities, regional areas and Pay-TV.
4. Film and TV database - more than 40,000 searchable records.
5. Feature articles - include discussion questions, links to Audio-visual materials.
The free weekly email guide delivers a detailed recording guide of educational programs a week in advance of broadcast. This guide also contains a list of relevant web sites for upcoming programs, leading you to a wealth of other teaching resources.
You can copy as much as you like as long as you keep to the rules below:
"The rules for copying under a Screenrights licence are very simple. You can copy anything from radio or television (free to air and pay) and you can make as many copies as you like. You can also copy broadcast material made available online by broadcasters. This includes podcasts and vodcasts of your favourite programs. You can copy all or part of a program. You can also make up compilation tapes of material you have copied. The only requirements are that you have a Screenrights licence, that the copy is made for the educational purposes of the institution, and that it is labeled"
For any copyright queries or questions regarding off-air copying please see the Screenrights website at:- http://www.screenrights.org/copyright/australia/faqs.php
The Bremer Library can also record programs for your classes as long as you give us enough lead time. For more details please talk to your Learning Resources Advisors or the library staff.

Online training resources for Graphic Design and IT students

This product should significantly improve the skills of students and staff and ensure they have the cutting edge tech skills to successfully compete in industries like Graphic Design, IT, Photography, etc.
Access to Lynda.com is via login and password and these will be issued by the library from the ELZ desk at Bundamba. Anyone who can’t access this desk is advised to contact the project officer for Lynda.com, Max Evett.
Graphic Design classes have already received a demonstration of the product and training in how to reserve and book access to the accounts via the library catalogue. Initial feedback has been very positive, and we’re expecting that the accounts, like our graduates themselves, will be in high demand.
